Faith & Inspiration
When life is filled with children, work, church, home, and responsibilities, finding quiet time with God can feel impossible. A pastor's wife, mother, and grandmother shares what she wishes she had known during her busiest years—and simple ways to make meaningful time for Bible reading and prayer without turning it into another burden.
It is important to protect the word of God from weather, sunlight, and heat to keep it to pass on to future generations. Our bible tells our life story and holds information to connect us to our past. My grandmother gave me her old black bible before she passed away. She recorded deaths, births, marriages, and even some surgeries of our family inside the covers. She also kept newspaper clippings of major events, photographs, and more! I love this bible. It means so much to me but I cannot use it. I cannot carry it because it was not stored in a bible holder. It's dry and brittle so every time I open it and turn the pages small pieces break off. Your bible is one of the most important items you can leave to your children. It is our heritage. Our legacy. Our hope in the Lord Jesus Christ!
