"He is not here: for he is risen, as he said." — Matthew 28:6 (KJV)
There is no greater morning in all of human history. The stone was rolled away. The tomb was empty. And the words spoken by angels echoed across time and into our hearts today — He is risen.
Resurrection Sunday is not simply a holiday. It is the cornerstone of our faith, the fulfillment of every promise, and the living proof that death has no final word over those who belong to Christ.
The Promise Fulfilled
Long before that glorious morning, God had already written the story of redemption. The prophet Isaiah declared it with breathtaking clarity:
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
— Isaiah 53:5 (KJV)
Every stripe. Every thorn. Every nail. It was all for us — and Resurrection Sunday is God's eternal "Yes" to every promise He ever made.
The Power of the Resurrection
The apostle Paul, writing to the church at Corinth, captured the magnitude of what the empty tomb means for every believer:
"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
— 1 Corinthians 15:55–57 (KJV)
Because He rose, we have hope that transcends every trial, every heartbreak, and every fear. The resurrection is not a distant theological concept — it is the living, breathing power of God at work in our everyday lives.
Walking in Resurrection Life
"Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life."
— Romans 6:4 (KJV)
Resurrection Sunday is an invitation — not just to remember what happened, but to walk differently because of it. To love more freely. To forgive more readily. To hope more boldly. Because the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in every believer.
